Abstract: In recent years,the economy of minority regions has been developed rapidly in Gansu province. Animal husbandry is a basic and pillar industry for economy in minority regions,so its development matters about stability,coordination and completely sustainable economic and social development of minority regions.In this paper,major livestock products in minority regions are determined by systematically,comprehensively and quantitatively measuring by means of comprehensive comparative advantage index and industrial concentration method, then advantageous areas of pigs,cattle and sheep are get out.The results suggest that Tianzhu,Linxia,Yongjing,Linxia City and Zhouqu are advantageous for pig production. Meanwhile,the advantageous regions for cattle production include Maqu,Xiahe,Zhangjiachuan,Guanghe,Hezuo,Zhuoni and Tianzhu. In addition,Dongxiang,Sunan, Tianzhu, Xiahe,Aksay and Subei are the advantageous regions for sheep production. Article thinks that accelerating the construction on animal husbandry of minority regions is necessary to optimize regional distribution of livestock products and guide livestock products to develop centralizedly in advantageous regions of minority regions,so as to enhance the market competitiveness of minority regions livestock products.
