Abstract: Using case studies, this paper focuses on the basic situation of two different types of farmer cooperatives in Kaiyuan city of Yunnan province. The survey founds:cooperatives have gained successful experiences such as capable of driving, brand effect, unified business model, and members of unity.However,cooperatives have also confronted some problems in the process of development,including lack of supervision by the third party, some farmers do not want to join the community, the internal operating specification does not really work, lack of excellent management and professional technical personnel, lack of market information construction.Finally, the author puts forward some constructive suggestions for further development.
