Abstract: The objective of this paper is to explore the main influence factors about the concept of elder supporting. The view of who to rely on and the supporting liability, is the core content of old people supporting concepts. Based on CSSOD2010 database,using the model of logistics regression, this paper analyzes the factors that can influence urban and rural residents' concept of elder supporting.The results show that the social security, political trust, has affected people's understanding of elder supporting liability, but the direction of effect is not consistent. Overall, the medical insurance system has prompted people not choosing the children responsible for supporting, and on the contrary the pension insurance in the present has prompted people choosing the children responsible for supporting. In terms of political trust, people's trust in the central government encourages people to choose children responsible for supporting and the concern for political affairs is about the opposite. In addition, the influence of social security, political trust, is certain different between urban and rural areas in China.
