Abstract: In recent years, fisheries industry of plateau characteristics in Zhaotong city is constantly developing, it has become an important aquatic product base of the northeast Yunnan.Basing on field investigation and research, combining with the local development, according to the problems existing in the development of the present freshwater fisheries industry, such as brand construction, industrial convergence, scale, etc.This paper puts forward some effective measures, including strengthen the construction of regional high-end brand, strengthen the tertiary industry integration, actively cultivate new fisheries management main body, give full play to the leading enterprises in stimulating, etc. and then, it is promoting the development as well as transformation and upgrading of fisheries industry so as to promote the fishing efficiency and increasing farmers' income.
