Abstract: Tobacco breeding is the main courses of tobacco science. In addition, the content of courses is closely related to tobacco agricultural production and it is important to construct for the teaching for science and technology talents of its own knowledge system. For cultivating compound talents, this paper elaborates to reform the theory of teaching content and teaching method and practical teaching, according to cultivate requirements of the tobacco science majors and the curriculum features of tobacco breeding. This reform aims at the main problems existing at the present to adjust the teaching content including increasing the content of genetics, biotechnology and the test technology of breeding, optimizing the teaching content of experiment and practice, riching the teaching methods and improving teaching assess, in order to strengthen course construction and improve the teaching quality.
