Abstract: This paper investigates life and pension issues of the elderly empty nesters in L village through field research method, according to the pension dilemma of empty nester in the mountain of Wenshan state. It is found that the pension problems of the empty nest elderly in the mountain is mainly manifested that the burden of raising the grandchildren is heavy and it is lack of income, poor medical conditions, insufficient daily care. According to the unique geographical, economic and cultural situation of L village, this paper puts forward some feasible suggestions, that is it brings the problem into village regulations, adjust the implementation way of health insurance of local government, pay attention to the family endowment, and strengthen the filial piety consciousness of children, and so on, in order to solve the pension problems of the empty nest elderly in mountain area.
