Abstract: SCI-E has become an analyzing and measuring tool to determine the accomplishments of scientific researches and to track the tends in the development of sciences. It has been one of the most important indices to quantitatively evaluate the efficiencies of scientific researches. In this paper, the statistical analysis for scientific papers published from Yunnan Agricultural University was conducted in the amount of papers cited over years, the types of papers published, the various languages used in the papers, the cooperative institutions, the distribution of academic areas, the names of peer-reviewed journals and the cited frequencies of these paper with the data from SCI-E. The purpose of the analysis was to provide the university an objective, quantitative assessment for scientific research and construction of academic disciplines.
