Abstract: Human Geography and Urban and Rural Planning is a new undergraduate specialty. In a long term, the specialty has an unclear orientation which has seriously affected on graduate's job seeking. This article makes macro analysis on the different factors such as different levels of national bachelor's education, professional connotation and local economic as well as the need of social development, on this basis, it summarizes the former personal training experience of three stages of this specialty in Yunnan Agricultural University, and then it proposes an idea with a career-orientated undergraduate training program and main courses structure, as well as basic course and course expanding directions, at last, it offers a discussion and useful reference for other local universities.
