Abstract:
This study employed CiteSpace and VOSviewer, bibliometric software tools, to conduct a visual knowledge mapping analysis of 25 years and over 7,000 pieces of research literature related to green entrepreneurship. The main findings are as follows: Firstly, the research topic of green entrepreneurship had developed a relatively mature theoretical framework internationally, while domestically it remained in the developmental stage, lacking systematic theoretical construction. Secondly, renowned international academic journals had widely published outcomes on green entrepreneurship, whereas major authoritative journals in China had yet to engage deeply into this subject. Thirdly, the international scholars had produced highly-cited works on green entrepreneurship, whereas domestic research institutions or scholars needed to continue to strengthen their efforts in producing more representative research outcomes, aiming to articulate the narrative of China’ s indigenous green entrepreneurship effectively. This paper also proposes customized implications accordingly.
