Abstract:
The prices of livestock products across the country declining significantly and continuously since 2020, not only affects the healthy and sustainable development of animal husbandry directly, but also impacts the stable growth of farmers’ income and the consolidation of poverty alleviation outcomes significantly, and there are a few significant regional differences between the depth and breadth. As a provinces that was affected the largest and the most deeply, during 2020 to 2023, although the total output of meat in Yunnan increased 21.18%, but the Livestock Product Price Index decreased from 157.4% to 89.8%, the output value of the animal husbandry decreased by 18.27%, and the per capita net income from animal husbandry for rural residents plunged from
1433 to 188. It was related to the production scale and variety structure of the stockbreeding in Yunnan directly, and it was related to the business model and industry characteristics of “Large group, Small scale” closely. It advises the comprehensive policies and coordinated development on moderate scale, industrial specialization, product branding, full industry chain and regional layout.
