Abstract:
Urban-rural integration is an important measure for handling urban-rural relations in the context of the new era, and it is also a crucial breakthrough for realizing the rural revitalization strategy. This paper took the 16 prefectures and cities in Yunnan Province from 2014 to 2022 as the research objects, measured their urban-rural integration development level by using the entropy method, selected the Dagum Gini coefficient and kernel density estimation to analyze the regional differences and evolution trends of the urban-rural integration development level in Yunnan Province, and studied the influencing factors of the urban-rural integration development level through the fixed effect model. The results showed that: (1) The overall urban-rural integration level in Yunnan Province had been increasing year by year, and the spatial integration level was relatively high; the urban-rural integration level in the central Yunnan region was the highest, and that in other regions had been steadily rising. (2) The overall difference in the urban-rural integration level had been fluctuating and decreasing, among which the difference between regions was the main source. (3) The income gap between urban and rural areas, the level of transportation infrastructure, the industrial structure, and the level of scientific and technological innovation were the key factors affecting the urban-rural integration development level in Yunnan Province. Based on this, this paper explored the practical paths to promote urban-rural integration in Yunnan Province, with the aim of providing useful references for achieving the coordinated development of urban and rural areas in Yunnan Province.
