Abstract:
Agricultural green development is a crucial pathway for achieving the coordinated modernization of regional agriculture and ecological security. This study focused on 16 prefecture-level cities in Yunnan, constructing an evaluation index system based on the PSR theoretical model from three dimensions: agricultural resources, agricultural environmental conditions, and agricultural output. Utilizing the entropy weight TOPSIS model, it measured the level of agricultural green development and regional disparities from 2012 to 2023. The results indicated that, the level of agricultural green development in Yunnan had shown an overall upward trend, with its growth primarily driven by the agricultural output subsystem. Spatially, there had been a gradual increase in the number of prefectures with high and medium-high levels of agricultural green development; however, significant regional disparities persist among these prefectures. Specifically, it was observed that, the central region of Yunnan exhibited a characteristic north-to-south radiation effect. Based on these findings, The following recommendations were made: accelerate the transition towards sustainable agriculture while addressing weak links; leverage unique resource endowments to optimize industrial layout; and strengthen regional radiation linkage effects to coordinate strategies for agricultural development.
