Abstract: As a typical business form of the integration of the three industries in rural, rural leisure industry is one of the important ways to promote rural revitalization and agricultural and rural modernization. After nearly 40 years of development, the rural leisure industry in Yunnan has developed from a single mode to a characteristic industrial system with a certain scale, diversified forms and rich functions. In this paper, the connotation and classification of rural leisure industry were theoretically refined based on the actual development of Yunnan Province, and its evolution process was presented as the initial stage, rapid development stage, comprehensive development stage, transformation and promotion stage and now entering in high-quality development stage. The driven factor was summarized as “spontaneous form—market guidance—policy incentive—supply and demand drive—technique fusion drive” + “Yunnan green development strategy drive” .
