Abstract:
As a new form of agricultural organization, family farms are the main carrier for promoting the transformation of agricultural modernization. However, due to the inherent attributes of family organizations and the acquired characteristics of entrepreneurial management, family farms exhibit a paradoxical existence, that is, the dual characteristics of family farms can generate structural internal tension, and the practical logic of the two often presents a mutually constrained relationship. Therefore, the article selected two dimensions of “matter” and “affection” to represent the dual characteristics of family farms, namely, career and family affection. Based on a field survey of M family farms in F County, Anhui Province, the study found that, the internal tension between “events” and “emotions” could create dilemmas at practical levels, including the secondary transformation of primary conflicts, the separation of norms and standards, and the unification of conflict mediation. M family farms adopted multiple balancing strategies, such as from duality to duality, from separation to embeddedness, and from oneness to pluralism, This article attempted to find a balance point with resilience in the tension of “event emotion” , providing beneficial practical enlightenment for exploring the motivational path of “event emotion” . This study could provide practical ideas for exploring the compatibility between family organization and enterprise management in the process of family farm modernization.
