Abstract:
The lag of digital development level in rural areas is an important factor inhibiting the development of rural areas. Therefore, based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2011 to 2020, this paper deeply analyzed the impact of digital rural construction on farmers’ income. The index system of digital rural construction level was constructed and its development level was measured. The fixed effect and adjustment effect model were used to empirically test the impact of digital rural construction on farmers’ income. The results showed that, digital rural construction could significantly promote the improvement of farmers’ income level, and the digitization of production, life and management had a significant promoting effect on farmers’ income. Further tests showed that, digital rural construction had a structural effect on farmers’ income increase, and had a more significant impact on farmers’ non-agricultural income. At the same time, non-agricultural transfer of labor force and agricultural industry integration played a positive regulatory role in the promotion of non-agricultural income and agricultural income increase by digital rural construction. Based on this, this paper put forward some countermeasures and suggestions, such as accelerating the construction of digital villages, improving the application level of digital technology in agricultural production, and smoothing the circulation channels of factors.
