Abstract: Universities had played a great role in winning the battle against poverty. We must summarize and improve their excellent experience and practices in targeted poverty alleviation, so as to better apply them to the current work of serving rural revitalization. This paper studies the poverty alleviation practice of Yunnan University, analyses the theoretical mechanism behind the targeted poverty alleviation work in universities, adaptively transforms the excellent experience of targeted poverty alleviation in universities, and offers proposals for universities to serve rural revitalization from five aspects: grass-roots governance ability, assistance subject, assistance mode,assistance path and assistance focus.
