Abstract: Under the background of the new era, the internal and external environment of ideological and political education has undergone profound changes. Educating people in all aspects is not only the requirement of ideological and political education, but also its scientific method and realistic way. Dormitory is a place where schools cultivate people by virtue and culture, and it is also a spiritual home where students are determined to cultivate themselves. Dormitory culture is a collective culture formed by college students’ daily interaction in dormitory, which has a strong sense of belonging, cohesion and identity, and its educational function is becoming more and more important. Strengthening the construction of dormitory culture and opening up the last mile of ideological and political education can effectively connect public places with relatively private places, and effectively integrate students’ daily management services, ideological and political education guidance, students’ self-supervision and management, and carry out ideological and political education through all employees, all directions and the whole process, so as to cultivate students’ public spirit, collective sense of belonging and sense of honor, and effectively enhance the effectiveness of educating people in all aspects.
