Abstract
PurposesThe aim was to analyze the influence law of combination of different width cut tobacco on cigarette physical indexes and its comprehensive stability, providing important references for optimization of combination of cut tobacco width of different modules in the grouping processing and further improving the level of fine processing of cigarette. Methods Tobacco formulation of grouping processing (sheet module and airflow module) as test material, every tobacco formulation was respectively set three kinds of cutting width and designed orthogonal experiment (two factors and three levels). Nine kinds of cigarettes of combination of different width cut tobacco were produced. Physical indexes (weight, circumference, length, total ventilation rate, hardness and draw resistance) of different test cigarette were analyzed by using the method of variance analysis and multiple comparisons. The comprehensive stability of cigarette physical indexes was evaluated using principal component analysis. In the end, the difference of physical indexes of different test cigarette was verified using cluster analysis. Results (1) There were significant differences for each physical index of different test cigarettes. (2) Cigarette weight, total ventilation rate and comprehensive stability coefficient of cigarette physical indexes were gradually decreasing with the increase of cut tobacco width. (3) Cigarette samples of combination of different width cut tobacco could be clustered into three groups. Cutoff point of clustering mainly embodied in difference of width of sheet cut tobacco. Conclusion For formulation leaf group of the specification cigarette, overall performance of cigarette physical indexes was the best when the cutting width of sheet module and airflow module was 0.95 mm.
