Evaluation of Regional Economic Differences in Anhui Province Based on Factor Analysis

Reducing regional economic differences to achieve coordinated development is an important condition for the healthy development of the overall economy. Based on the regional economic data in Anhui Province from 2007 to 2017, the evaluation index system of economic development of 16 prefecture-level cities were constructed and measured to evaluate their level of economic development. The development trend of regional economic differences in Anhui Province were analyzed by the range, standard deviation and coefficient of variation. The factor analysis method and spatial clustering method were used to judge the economic time and space difference in Anhui province. The results show that the absolute difference of regional economy in Anhui province has gradually expanded, and the relative differences have generally narrowed; the regional economy in Anhui province has generally shown an upward trend, and the spatial difference pattern has not changed much, but the polarization phenomenon is obvious. It is necessary to strengthen regional linkages, take a characteristic development path, rationally allocate resources and develop various new economic formats so as to achieve coordinated development of various regions.
