Effects of Sheep Excrement Application with Chemical Fertilizers on Dynamic Quality and Mineral Nutrition of Pitaya

  • Purpose The experiment was to provide a theoretical basis for pitaya's adequate fertilization and organic production.Method A field experiment was conducted to study the effect of the compound fertilizer combined with sheep excrement on the yield and quality of red pitaya. Results Compared with the treatment with non-applying sheep excrement (CK), the total sugar and vitamin C of the treatments with 15 kg sheep excrement increased by 11.23% and 10.22%, whereas the content of total sour reduced by 16.67%. Different treatments had larger influences on the K and Fe in fruits, there were significant differences between the CK treatment and 15 kg sheep excrement with 2.5 kg compound fertilizerm(N):m(P):m(K)=15:15:15 treatment. The order of the value of K and Fe was as follows:15 kg sheep excrement with 2.5 kg compound fertilizer>10 kg sheep excrement with 2.5 kg compound fertilizer>non-applying sheep excrement in fruits. Conclusion From this experiment, the treatment of 15 kg sheep excrement with 2.5 kg compound fertilizer was better for pitaya to achieve high yield and better quality.
