Effects of Different Conditioning Way on Physical and Chemical Properties of Over-dried Cut Tobacco

  • Purpose The aim was to study the influence of different dampening device on physicochemical properties of over-dried cut tobacco, providing data support for over-dried cut tobacco selecting suitable conditioning way.Method Over-dried cut tobacco after cylinder drying was used as test material. Physical characteristics, volatile organic acids and aroma substance were used as evaluating indicator. The influence of different dampening device on physicochemical properties of over-dried cut tobacco was studied by means of variance analysis.Results Two kinds of equipment, such as SIROX warming and humidification equipment and NA312-H015 drum-type tobacco conditioner helped over-dried cut tobacco to fully absorb moisture and improve the processing property of over-dried cut tobacco in the process of blending, flavoring and cigarette rolling. At the same time, it was beneficial to the maintenance of volatile aroma substances in over-dried cut tobacco.Conclusion SIROX warming and humidification equipment and NA312-H015 drum-type tobacco conditioner were the most suitable dampening equipment for over-dried cut tobacco.
