Cloning of BmCecropinB6 Antibacterial Peptide Gene and Auto-induction Expressing of Recombinant Proteins from Bombyx mori

  • Purpose Bombyx mori CecropinB6(BmCecropinB6) is an important antibacterial peptide of silkworm immune system, it has strong antibacterial function on against gram positive and gram negative bacteria,but auto-induction expressing of recombinant protein has been reported.Method In this study, the total RNA as a template was extracted from the silkworm midgut tissue, a pairs of specific primer was designed, then B. CecropinB6 (BmCecropinB6) cDNA fragment was cloned by RT-PCR technology. pET32a-BmCecropinB6 prokaryotic expression vector was constructed, BmCecropinB6 recombinant protein was expressed by auto-induction expressing system, and expressing yields was further analyzed.Result The BmCecropinB6 gene is 192 bp nucleotides in sizes, and encodes 63 amino acids, the auto-induction expressing of recombinant BmCecropinB6 protein is about 27 ku, the expressing yields is 41%.Conclusion The research establish a basis for further application of BmCecropinB6 antimicrobial peptides.
