Abstract
Six months old seedling of different oil palm germplasm with TE,BE and OG were introduced from Costa Rica and Hainan BD were used as materials in this experiment, the three temperature treatments as CK (natural temperature treatment), 16℃ (T1 treatment), 8℃ (T2 treatment) were designed. After treated for 10 days, the changing of malondialdehyde content (MDA), soluble sugar content, soluble protein content, free proline content, superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, peroxidase (POD) activity, catalase (CAT) activity, glutathione reductase (GR) activity were analyzed, and data were treated by difference analysis, pertinence analysis, clustering analysis, for cold resistance indexes were identified and cold tolerance were evaluated. The result showed that the coldness of four germplasm were listed as TE> BE> BD> OG. MDA content or free proline content and GR activity were highly related with other indexes and there were greater differences under different low temperature treatments, they were clustered different classes and indicated as osmotic substance and protective enzyme index, respectively. Therefore, they were indicated as cold resistance indexes.
