Determination of Volatile Components from Flowers of Dendrobium moniliforme (L.)Sw.in Yunnan by GC-MS

  • In order to provide the scientific basis for the quality control standards of Dendrobium moniliforme (L.)Sw. tea and distinguish with other types of Dendrobium flowers, GC-MS method was used to detect the volatile constituents from flowers of D. moniliforme (L.)Sw. The volatile constituents of the flowers were obtained by n-hexane reflux method and analyzed by GC-MS method. The results shows that 72 of 91 chromatographic peaks were identified. Among them, the major constituents were n-heneicosane (38.957%), n-tricosane (13.558%), n-docosane (5.245%), 2-heptadecanone (2.072%) etc. The main chemical components of volatile oil of D. moniliforeme flowers are alkanes, alkenes, alcohols, ketones, acids, esters, phenols etc. This study provides theoretical basis for further application of D. moniliforme (L.) Sw. in Yunnan.
