Study on Thymol against Meloidogyne javanica

Thymol as a kind of natural product, which is widely used because of its good biological activity. But there was no report about the activity of Thymol to Meloidogyne javanica. In this study, we tested that thymol against M. javanica. Test reasults showed that 125, 250, 500, 1 000 and 2 000 μg/mL of thymol caused the mortalities of M.javanica in 48 h are 4.59%, 25.44%, 69.18%, 89.38%and 94.22%. Log dosage probability line of Thymol to M.javanica in 48 h is y=-2.537 53+2.893 97x, r=0.981 52, LD50 is 402.31 μg/mL, and its nematicidal activity is better.
