Abstract
Pomegranate wilt disease is a kind of soil borne disease and very difficult to control, and the wide occurrence of pomegranate root-knot nematode disease can aggravate the pomegranate wilt disease and make it more difficult to control. Therefore, exploring bio-control agents which can antagonism pomegranate wilt disease and root-knot nematodes could be a environmental-friendly method to control the pomegranate wilt disease. This study was conducted by separating actinomycetes which have strong antagonism activity to pomegranate wilt pathogen from the soil collected from Mengzi megranate garden and Jianshui megranate garden in Yunnan Province. Actinomycetes strains MZ11 indoor bacteriostatic radius to pomegranate wilt pathogen was 9.25 mm. The resault showed that actinomycetes strains MZ11 fermented liquid could inhibit Meloidogyne incongnita eggs hatching. Compared with the controls, M. incongnita eggs hatching rate decreased by 43.89% by treated with 50% MZ11 supernatant fermented liquid 6d, which implied the potential bio-control value of strains MZ11 in control pomegranate wilt disease. Besides, strains MZ11 could be identified as Streptomyces lavendulae based on its growth characteristics, morphological characteristics and analysis of 16S rDNA sequence.
