Preliminary Investigation on Parasitic Nematodes in the Coffee Main Production Areas in Yunnan Province

  • The planting area and yield of coffee in Yunnan Province are accounted for over 98% of Chinese coffee, it enjoys a good reputation at home and abroad for its good quality. With the increase of the planting scale and planting age, the disease is also increasing year by year and it will inevitably become an important limiting factor for the development of Yunnan's coffee industry. In order to know the situation of parasitic nematodes in the main producing areas of Yunnan coffee, from 2012 to 2013, we collected 110 rhizosphere soil samples from Dehong Prefecture, Pu'er City and Baoshan City, and preliminary identification depended on morphological methods of isolated parasitic nematodes. The result showed that 5 genera and 8 species were identified, including Helicotylenchus:H.dihystera, H. digitiformis; Tylenchus:T.davainei; Pratylenhus:P. coffeae; Scutellonema:S. brachyurus; Aorolaimus; Filenchus;Paratylenchus; Aphelenchoides.Among them, S. brachyurus, H. digitiformis, T. davainei were reported for the first time in coffee rhizosphere.
