Abstract
Reasonable density and scientific fertilization is the key technology to achieve high yield and good quality for artificial cultivation of Chinese herbal medicine. The differences of agronomic, yield and quality characters of Dipsacus asperoides under different planting densities and fertilization amount were researched in this experiment. The results showed that the lower planting density could promote root growth, but was not favorable to increase production. Increasing fertilizer application obviously promoted D. asperoides growth, while excessive compound fertilizer application was harmful on D. asperoides production. Planting density had no significant impact on the quality of D. asperoides, while fertilization amount significantly impacted the content of asperosaponin Ⅵ. To increase growth of seedling stems and leaves, promote rhizome development on maturity, and ensure high yield and good quality, the best plant spacing was 25 cm30 cm, 390 000 plants per hectare, and the best fertilization amount was 2 130 kg/hm2 of organic fertilizer and 660 kg/hm2 of compound fertilizer. Our results provided scientific theory and basis for reasonable planting management and high yield and quality of D. asperoides.
