Abstract
Cropping diversity can effectively control wheat strip rust disease. In this study, the physiological race and population structure of Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici were analyzed by six pairs of race-specific molecular markers (CYR33, CYR32, CYR31, CYR29, CYR23 and CYRSU). The results showed that the detection ratio of many physiological races in the inter-cropping Chuanmai 107 and broad-bean (or pea) was more than in the mono-cropping Chuanmai 107. And the reason why was not distinction among other cultivation mode, was caused by unreasonably assortment of wheat varieties. In addition, as a population gathered from same test plot samples, the relationship among these populations was analyzed by soft ware POPGENE 1.32. The results showed that three populations from three field plots of mono-planting Jingmai 14 were divided into 1 cluster, and three populations from three field plots of mono-planting Chuanmai 107 were divided into another cluster. It was showed that wheat cultivars could affect the population structure of the P.striiformis f.sp. tritici populations of wheat stripe rust fungi coming from same planting mode were nearly combined into one branch. It is indicated cropping pattern could affect the population structure of wheat strip rust fungi.
