Study on the Sporulation Character of Nomuraea rileyi Nr120815 on Different Rice Grainsmatrix

  • The spore production of Nomuraea rileyi Nr120815 on twelve species of rice grains was studied and the carbon source and nitrogen source nutrients for promoting the sporulation was screened in laboratory, and also its effect on the spore germination rate was measured. Results showed that Nr120815 grew well on the grain of Hongnuogu than other variety grains, and the highest spore production was on Hongnuogu grains, with a sporulation capacity of (1.840.15)109 g-1, also its spores with the highest germination rate of (83.220.69)%. So that the spore production and its germination rate of Nr120815 cultured on Hongnuogu rice grains by adding different carbon and nitrogen source nutrients were tested in order to screen the best nutrients for sporulation and germination. Results indicated:the highest spore production and the spore germination was(4.550.15)109 g-1 and(85.001.00)% respectively by adding 0.40% maltose as the single carbon source nutrient. The highest spore production and the spore germination was(5.580.26)109 g-1 and(86.001.32)% respectively by adding 0.20% (NH4)2SO4 as the single nitrogen source nutrient;but the highest spore production was (7.090.05)109 g-1 after adding both the maltose and (NH4)2 SO4 with concentration of 0.20% as the carbon and nitrogen source nutrient, and the highest spore germination rate was(88.830.76)% after adding the 0.60% maltose and 0.40% KNO3 as the carbon and nitrogen source nutrient. Overall, the best interaction effect of the carbon and nitrogen source nutrients for the spore production of Nr120815 can be got by adding the 0.20% maltose and 0.20% (NH4)2SO4 as carbon and nitrogen source nutrients, which with a sporulation capacity of (7.090.05)109 g-1 and germination rate of(83.671.04)%. The best interaction effect can be got when adding the 0.20% sucrose and 0.40% NH4NO3 as carbon and nitrogen source nutrients, which with a sporulation capacity of (6.390.14)109 g-1 and germination rate of (87.671.53)%.
