Detection of Plasmodiophora brassicae with Real-time Quantitative PCR in Yunnan Province

  • Clubroot of crucifereais vegetables is one of the serious soil-borne diseases. The quickly and quantify detection of Plasmodiophora brassicae of 22 cruciferous vegetables soil samples in Yunnan were tested by using real-time quantitative PCR technology and traditional method. The results showed that the highest concentration of clubroot spores was 1 108.96 g-1 while the disease index of 95.56%;the lowest concentration of clubroot spores was 1 103.12 g-1 while the disease index of 3.33%. The disease index was linearly correlated with clubroot spores number. The disease index and the number clubroot spores were increased or decreased at the same time. This method can quickly and quantify detect the P.brassicae in soil and provide an effective techniques for cruciferous vegetables soil detection.
