Effect of Different Extraction Methods on the Extraction Rate of Granatum Ellagic Acid

  • China has abundant resources of pomegranate. Pomegranate rind ellagic acid is the active ingredient of natural polyphenols.At present,China has a large number of abandoned pomegranate rind causing serious waste.Three kinds of granatum ellagic acid extraction process were selected to extract ellagic acid crude from the same weight of pomegranate rind powder,including hydrolysis twice by 1mol hydrochloric acid in 60℃,microwave aqueous two-phase extraction ethanol-ammonium sulfate acid hydrolysis,ultrasonic extraction-acid hydrolysis by 40% ethanol in 60℃.After purification,UV detection and calculation,it was indicated that the optimum extraction of ellagic acid was 40% ethanol ultrasonic extraction for 30min and the extraction rate was 18.07%.This technology has good stability and can be used as large-scale production of practical technology.
