Growth and Quality Characteristics Experimental Research of Ten New Flue-cured Tobacco Cultivars (lines) in Xingyi Tobacco Area

  • The aim was to study agronomic and quality traits of ten flue-curd tobacco cultivars (lines) throughout field experiment in Xingyi tobacco areas, and tobacco cultivars (lines) were as follows:Guiyan 2,Guiyan 14,WA-2,FG-2,AH1002,Guiyan 5,Guiyan 13,Guiyan 8,CZ-1 and K326 (CK).The results showed that the main growth periods of different cultivars were basically consistent;obvious botany trait, excellent growth condition and favorable uniformity had been seen in the field. There was relatively high comprehensive agronomic trait in Guiyan 8,but Guiyan 14 had a opposite expression;Guiyan 2 and CZ-1 were better at resistant to red star disease, but Guiyan 2 and Guiyan 8 were not resistant to powdery mildew compared with other tobacco cultivars;average price, yield, production value, superior tobacco rate, superior and medium tobacco rate and appearance quality were optimal in Guiyan 2,in addition,WA-2 and FG-2,CZ-1 took second and third place respectively, but these cultivars were significantly superior to CK.In general,Guiyan 2,excelling in adoption, disease resistance, economic profit and appearance quality, had a great developmental potential.By contrast, WA-2,FG-2,CZ-1 possessed some potential, but some further experiment should be done.
