Abstract
The purpose was to find out the best twin-rows configuration of horizontal cassava planting stake by using the cassava variety of (South China 11) SC11. Six kinds of configurations treatment were combined by two factors, one factor was stake position (SP): opposite and interlace, the other factor was insert direction (ID): face-to-face (90 between stake and ridge), same inclined (45 between stake and ridge), opposite inclined (45 and 135 between stake and ridge). The results showed that the affecting force among fresh root yield (FRY), dry root yield (DRY) and starch yield (SY) was SP SPID ID; comparing the root number per plant, root weight per plant, FRY, DRY and SY, the SP rank was interlace opposite; comparing the FRY, DRY and SY, the ID rank was same inclined face-to-face opposite inclined; comparing the six treatments of SP and ID interaction, there were no significant differences in the FRY, DRY and SY, the best treatment was combined interlace and same inclined together, which were 11.9% FRY, 10.6% DRY, 9.5% SY higher than CK (combined of opposite and face-to-face) respectively, the better treatment was combined interlace and face-to-face together, which were 8.3% FRY, 7.9% DRY, 7.5% SY higher than CK respectively. Finally, we recommend two treatments of interlace and same inclined, interlace and face-to-face for twin-rows horizontal planting cassava.
