Abstract
Pi9 gene derives from Oryza minuta and is one of the main effect resistance genes to rice blast in the reported 83 genes. The homologous sequences of Pi9 gene, Nipponbare and 93-11 in rice were compared. Based on the sequence difference of Pi9 genotypes, the SNP co-dominant marker closely chain to Pi9 was developed and compared with previously reported dominant marker PB8 and co-dominant markers PB9-1; the experimental condition was optimized as well. The results demonstrated that SNP markers developed in regions of Pi9 gene in this study were much more simple, effective and accurate than PB8 and PB9-1 markers.
