Abstract
Potyviruses are important plant pathogens. The disease severity induced by Potyviruses changes according to different interaction of virus-host. There are three aspects for potyvirus-host interaction according to the recently research advances on the potyvirus-host interaction in the last few years. The first one is the virus-host interaction altered the concentration of signaling molecules (Ca2+) and plant hormones (such as jasmonic acid) within cell local regions, then affected the host signal transduction pathway. The second one is potyvirus-host interaction altered host transcriptome, affected the function of host miRNAs and their target genes. The last one is the protein interactions between virus and host affected the replication and movement of the virus. In addition, the virus could be isolated in a security zone by the plasma membrane structures in the cell to avoid the host defense system.
