The Correlation Analysis of Potato Seedling seed Germination and Endogenous Hormone Contents

  • To study the relationship between endogenous hormones and TPS, Yunnan cultivars potato Zhongdianhong stored at room temperature and ultra-low temperature (-80 ℃) was used to determine the seed germination rate by dish and endogenous hormone of IAA, ZR, GA, ABA, JA by ELISA per 15 days. The results showed: seed germination rate continued to rise up to 85% after stored at room temperature for 6 months, while hardly germinated at -80 ℃. The hormone contents of GA, IAA and ZR promoting plant growth at room temperature were higher than those at -80 ℃. The hormone contents of JA and ABA inhibiting plant growth at room temperature were lower than those at -80 ℃. It is suggested that endogenous hormone levels are closely correlated with seed germination.
