Study on the Chemical Constituents from Horsfieldia tetratepala

  • In order to study the chemical constituents from the leaves, branches and trunk of Horsfieldia tetratepala, compounds were isolated by silica gel, MCI and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography. By modern spectroscopy as well as physic-chemical analysis, their structures were elucidated as 4, 2'-dihydroxy-4'-methoxychalcone (1), 7-methylliquiritigenin (2), sakuranetin (3), 7-ketositosterol (4), butin (5), 3, 4-dihydroxybenzoic acid (6), sulfuretin (7), (+)-syringaresinol (8) and β-sitosterol (9). All the compounds were obtained from H. tetratepala for the first time.
