Study on the Chemical Constituents from Horsfieldia tetratepala

Abstract
In order to study the chemical constituents from the leaves, branches and trunk of Horsfieldia tetratepala, compounds were isolated by silica gel, MCI and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography. By modern spectroscopy as well as physic-chemical analysis, their structures were elucidated as 4, 2'-dihydroxy-4'-methoxychalcone (1), 7-methylliquiritigenin (2), sakuranetin (3), 7-ketositosterol (4), butin (5), 3, 4-dihydroxybenzoic acid (6), sulfuretin (7), (+)-syringaresinol (8) and β-sitosterol (9). All the compounds were obtained from H. tetratepala for the first time.
