Evaluation and Comparison of Farmland Productivity in Suijiang County

  • In order to fully understand farmland productivity situation of varied terrains and complex landscape in Jinsha river basin, to provide scientific comprehensive theory and technique and some useful data for soil testing formula fertilization, to gradually establish a scientific fertilization system for the comprehensive advance soil testing formula fertilization work. Suijiang County has been selected as an example. GIS technology has been conducted to make sure the evaluation unit by using spatial overlap analysis based on the scale of 1:50 000 administrative zoning, land utilization map and soil distribution map. This research selections of soil management, site conditions, soil profile arable layer soil physical and chemical properties, nutrient status and climates were 5 aspects which including 16 target C layer influencing factors. Expert scoring and Delphi method were used to determine the influence factor of membership functions by using analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and fuzzy mathematical method to evaluate the farmland productivity in Suijiang County. The results showed that the fertility of the 10 341.54 hm2 of arable land is divided into 6 grades. The first to sixth grade land area accounts for 5.12%, 4.90%, 17.63%, 15.65%, 32.58%, 24.13% respectively. ArcGIS evaluation methods have been successfully used to estimate comprehensive evaluation of cultivated land productivity in complex topography of Jinsha river basin. The evaluation results are consistent with the actual truth of the cultivated land fertility of Suijiang County.
