PurposeTo identify and analyze wheat TaBTLs gene family members.
MethodsThe number, biochemical properties, gene structure, collinearity relationship, phylogenetic relationship and promoter cis-acting elements of TaBTLs family members were analyzed by bioinformatics method. Wheat RNA-Seq data were used to analyze the expression patterns of TaBTLs gene in various tissues, organs and developmental stages, as well as their response levels to abiotic stress.
ResultsThere were 35 TaBTLs gene family members in wheat totally, all of them contained RING-H2 and BZF conserved domains, and their relative molecular weights ranged from 29.64 ku to 45.16 ku. TaBTLs gene were distributed on all chromosomes except 2A, 2B and 2D, and there were a large number of repetitive events among members. BTLs genes were divided into seven subgroups among species. There were a large number of plant growth and development and stress response cis-acting elements in the promoter region of TaBTLs gene. They were widely expressed in different tissues and organs, and were induced by salt and drought stress.
ConclusionThese findings provide a theoretical basis for elucidating the evolutionary relationship of the TaBTLs gene family and further study on the function of the members.
