PurposeTo further explore the parasitoid wasp resources of the Mymaridae in China, and to supplement the species of Litus Haliday.
MethodsMalaise traps was used to get specimens, and the specimens were accurately identified based on the traditional morphological identification combined with DNA barcoding techniques and literature research.
ResultsThe new species Litus longitus Aishan sp. nov. from Linzhi City of Tibet was described, with a picture of morphological characteristics, and a key to the species of the genus Litus Haliday from China was provided. DNA barcoding based on COI sequence for the genus Litus Haliday was first reported.
ConclusionIt is of great theoretical value to provide a basis and reference for the taxonomic study of the genus Litus Haliday in China, and to provide molecular data for rapid and accurate identification.
