Species of the Bee Subgenus Lasioglossum (Lasioglossum) (Hymenoptera: Halictidae) from Yunnan Province with Description of a New Species

  • PurposesTo update the species of the subgenus Lasioglossum (Lasioglossum) from China.
    MethodUsing the traditional methods of taxonomy and referring to a number of literatures to identify the species.
    ResultsA total of 14 species of Lasioglossum (Lasioglossum) from Yunnan, China, were sorted, verified and studied. One new species was described and illustrated: Lasioglossum (Lasioglossum) cerothoracicum Zhang, Niu et Zhu sp. nov. Diagram of morphological characteristics was drew, and a key to the species of the subgenus Lasioglossum (Lasioglossum) from Yunnan Province was provided.
    ConclusionsThe results have important theoretical value and provid evidence and reference for the taxonomy of Lasioglossum (Lasioglossum) from China.
