Purpose Suancha was the unique tea product from De’ang Nationality. Our aim was to study the effect of Suancha on the non-alcoholic fatty liver caused by exogenous dietary induction.
Method Contrast with hepatoprotectants, the rats were given different does for 4 weeks, and then executed. The peripheral blood, blood lipid index, liver function index and antioxidant index were detected; the expression insulin growth factor (IGF-1) and cytochrome P4502E1 (CYP2E1) were studied; pathological observation and evaluation on liver tissue of rats were carried out.
Result Suancha could effectively reduce the content of CHOL and TG in the serum of rats with non-alcoholic fatty liver, and increase the level of HDL-C; it could reduce the activity of AST and ALT in rat serum; it could increase enzyme activity level of GSH-Px and SOD in rat’s serum and liver; high-dose Suancha could improve liver tissue damage caused by lipid accumulation; Suancha could increase the expression of IGF-1 mRNA in liver tissue of test rats and inhibit the expression of CYP2E1 mRNA.
Conclusion Suancha from De’ang Nationality has a positive effect on non-alcoholic fatty liver on rats.
