PurposeTo clarify the pathogen of gray mold on Anoectochilus roxburghii in the planting base of A. roxburghii in Yunnan Province.
MethodThe pathogens were isolated and purified by tissue separation, and the pathogenicity test of the pathogen was verified by Koch’s postulates. The pathogen species were identified based on the morphological characteristics, rDNA-ITS and RPB2 gene sequences of the pathogen.
ResultPure cultured C2L2 was isolated from diseased tissues, which can cause symptoms of gray mold on A. roxburghii. According to morphological characteristics and molecular phylogenetic analysis, the pathogen was identified as Botrytis cinerea.
ConclusionThis study result provided a reference for disease research and prevention.
