Purpose To optimize the extraction process of Rubia cordifolia L. processed Terminalia chebula Retz polysaccharide, and to lay a theoretical foundation for the research and development of polysaccharides.
Method Taking the R. cordifolia L. processed T. chebula Retz as the research object, the extraction rate of polysaccharides was an index. The effects of ratio of material to liquid, extraction temperature, extraction times and number of extractions on the extraction rate of polysaccharides from R. cordifolia L. processed T. chebula Retz were studied by single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment. Screening the best technology of water extraction and alcohol precipitation for R. cordifolia L. processed T. chebula Retz.
Result The best extraction process for extracting polysaccharides from R. cordifolia L. processed T. chebula Retz by extraction was determined as follows: extraction temperature was 90 ℃, liquid was 1∶20, extraction three times and extraction time was 3 h. Under these conditions, the maximum extraction rate of polysaccharide was 3.55%.
Conclusion Getting the optimal extraction technology for polysaccharides from R. cordifolia L. processed T. chebula Retz, the extraction method can be applied to the extraction of polysaccharide from R. cordifolia L. processed T. chebula Retz, and the optimized process is stable and feasible with high extraction rate.
