PurposeTo explore biocontrol resources against Myzus persicae.
MethodBy collecting the aphids infected by fungi from the tobacco field, isolation and purification of pathogenic strains, determination of strains with strong infection effects against M. persicae morphological and molecular identification and biological characteristics were studied.
ResultsThe strain YMJqx-3 with strong infection effect was selected from 7 pathogenic fungi. The corrected infection rate reached 81.48% on the 7th day of the indoor test. It has been identified as Rhizopus oryzae, and its hyphae optimum growth temperature was 32 °C, pH was 7, and it grew well in the cycle of light and dark. The optimal germination temperature of spores was 30 °C. UV irradiation could significantly affect spore germination. Humidity 90% spore germination was good.
ConclusionR. oryzae has a good infection and lethal effect on M. persicae, and has great potential for biocontrol.
