The Genus Encopognathus Kohl with Three Newly Recorded Species from China (Hymenoptera: Crabronidae)

  • Purpose Our aim was to update the taxonomy of the genus Encopognathus Kohl from China.
    Method The genus Encopognathus Kohl was identified by the method of traditional morphological classification.
    Results There were four species involved, of which three species were redescribed and illustrated from China for the first time: E. rochei Leclercq, E. sudesticus Leclercq and E. thaianus Tsuneki. A key to the Chinese species was provided.
    Conclusion The results had important theoretical value for the further taxonomical research of this genus in China.
