Purpose To investigate the pyrolysis behavior of the Elsholtzia bodineri Vaniot in different temperatures, and the possible mechanism was also discussed.
Method By off-line pyrolysis-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (Py-GC/MS), the pyrolysis products were directly introduced into GC/MS and qualitatively analyzed.
Results (1) The pyrolysis temperature affected type and relative content, and the mechanism was different. There were 14, 64 and 95 kinds of pyrolysates identified at temperature of 300, 600 and 900 ℃. Aroma components included aldehydes, ketones, terpenes, furan and so on. The research gave references for the study of Py-GC/MS method for the preparation of new reconstituted tobacco raw material selection. (2) The application of E. bodineri Vaniot had certain influence upon the deliveries of seven harmful components in mainstream cigarette smoke.
Conclusion E. bodineri Vaniot as a paper-making reconstituted tobacco raw materials has a certain feasibility.
