Abstract
Professional fruit growers are in line with the development requirements of modern market economy. The professionalization of fruit growers is not only a social category, but also a term in the economic category. The key is wealth and social status. Based on the survey data of 850 farmers in five characteristic fruit producing areas in Fujian Province, the concluded is wealth and social status have a significant impact on farmers’ willingness of professional fruit farmers. Wealth has a stronger impact on the farmers’ willingness of professional fruit growers; the effect of wealth and social status on professional fruit farmers is significantly less than that on part-time fruit farmers. In addition, fruit growers’ outsourcing and agricultural socialized services are helpful to the promotion of their professional fruit growers’ willingness. Therefore, in order to enhance the farmers’ willingness of professional fruit farmers, not only to promote the income of fruit farmers, but also to improve the social status of professional fruit farmers.
