On the Current Situation, Predicament and Development of Tourism Management Talents Training in Agricultural and Forestry Universities

Based on the current situation of tourism management major in 32 typical agricultural and forestry universities in China, the thesis points out that there are some problems in reality, such as the same training goal, few distinctive courses of agriculture and forestry, weak and marginal position of the subject, existing market-oriented and popular major, and puts forward: we should stick to “minor differences and similarities” relying on the superior resources of agriculture and forestry; set up the professional direction reasonably and reserve features; carry out the whole tutorial system of undergraduate students so as to refine the training of talents. The conclusion of this thesis can be of great significance to agricultural and forestry universities to improve the quality and characteristics of tourism management major.
